Avista Care was established in 2014 by Gary & Lynsey Edmondson.
Lynsey is a registered adult nurse with over 20years experience in adult social & healthcare.

Florence House will be managed by Lynsey, who has vast experience and knowledge of caring for people with disabilities, old age and dementia along with a team of dedicated, trained staff.

People will be supported and cared for in a friendly warm and safe environment. we will promote independence, dignity, participation and integration using a person centred approach.

Florence house adult day centre is located on a farm in Dearham, between Cockermouth & Maryport. The centre boasts stunning views of the lake district fells and is surrounded by open fields and country side. The day centre is in a secure courtyard setting giving clients the opportunity to access outside space if they wish.

The centre caters for clients who are physically disabled from the age of 18 years upwards, people with early onset dementia, older age dementia, learning disabilities and old age. We aim to have specific days for different client groups so that people can enjoy socialisation.Read More . . .
